About Thomas Abraham

Testimonial for Thomas Abraham from JoAnn Utterback

Lee and I first met Thomas Abraham in 1989, while he was attending NCC (Norfolk Christian College- Norfolk Nebraska). In 1999, when he came to the USA, Thomas stayed with us for six months and we helped him to travel to the Churches for more support. When Thomas was here, we could truly see that he loved the Lord and would continue to spread the Word in India, if he had the funds. In January 2001, Lee and myself had the wonderful opportunity to travel to India and work with Thomas and the Christians for a month. It is overwhelming to experience the Christian Love in India and their relentless efforts to seek and save the lost. Thomas is a trusting Christian that works endlessly to carry on the many aspects of the Lord's work. With our prayers and our dollars, Thomas will do the work that we can not do. Lee went to be with the Lord in December 2002, but he loved Thomas and the Christian family in India with all his heart. ICCM has my on-going love and support.

Personal Testimony of Saji K. B., ICTC Principal

I was born on December 22, 1977, into a Christian family. I am the youngest of six brothers and one sister. My parents were very poor and worked hard to bring up their children. To provide for the family they worked for daily wages on farms and houses of others. My father was sick for a long time and died when I was very young.

Because of our poverty I was sent to an orphanage named "Jesus Loves Me Christian Home” in the northern part of Kerala State. I spent all of my early days at the orphanage and studied there up to the 5th grade. Then I moved to Arlene Christian Home at Ayur where I studied up to the 10th grade.

Both of these orphanages belong to the Church of Christ Mission run by P. V. Alexander. Arlene Christian Home was in the same compound of Kerala Christian Bible College where Thomas Abraham was teacher and Academic Dean. His personal relationship to all the children at the Christian home helped each one to know Christ personally from a very young age.

When I was studying in my High School classes I was baptized into Christ by one of the preachers from the United States who came to preach in Kerala Christian Bible College.

Soon after my 10th grade year, I mentioned to Thomas Abraham that I would like to join the Bible College and that I wanted to serve the Lord. He gave me admission in 1993 and I completed my three years of Bible study in 1995. Soon after my graduation I entered into the ministry and for the last years I have been serving the Lord as a fulltime worker.

Meanwhile, God opened a way to work with Thomas Abraham in his new mission named India Church of Christ Mission. God has given me so many responsibilities in the mission especially with the India Christian Theological College, Bethesda Christian Home, and local Church ministries. I am also preaching in one of our local churches.

The years that I spent in the orphanage helped me to know the love of God in my life through many servants of God like Thomas Abraham. This has helped me to love even more all the children at the orphanage and the ministry of our Lord. God is using me in different ways for His glory. It is my decision to serve the Lord till my last breath.

Request your valuable prayers for ICCM and all its ministries.

In His service,
Saji K.B.

Personal Testimony of Boaz, Bible College Student at ICTC

My name is Boaz. I was born on September 23, 1965. I am the eldest in my family. I have two younger brothers and three younger sisters. My father was a drunkard. Everything that he earned from his daily work he used to spend at the liquor shop. Everyday he came home empty handed.

Because of our poverty my mother sent me to one of the orphanages in the northern part of Kerala where I studied up to the 5th grade. But because of the situation at home my mother was not able to go for work. I had to stop my studies and to return home.

At home there was nothing to eat and I found my younger brothers, sisters and mother starving. So I decided to go work for daily wages. At this time I was only 12 years old. I had to work very hard but was paid only a very little. As I grew up, more family responsibility came up on my shoulders. I was working very hard to meet the daily needs of my house. To avoid the tensions in my life I started to use alcohol and other intoxicating materials. Soon I also became an addict to it.

But praise God, the love of Christ came into my life. One day I had the opportunity to listen to gospel preaching. I understood that the death of Christ was for my sins. I committed my life fully into the hands of our Lord. Soon I was baptized into him and became a child of God. Meanwhile I was married to Jessy and we now have two children. Our elder son is Jobin and younger daughter is Jesna.

It was my long desire to study the Word of God and become a servant of the Lord in our country. So I joined India Christian Theological College as a student. My wife and children are also with me. Along with my studies we are helping with cooking food and other kitchen work at ICTC. Both our children are studying in the primary school nearby. It is our aim to complete the Bible training from ICTC and do the Lord’s work wherever He sends us. Request your prayers.

In Him,
Boaz and family
