About Thomas Abraham

Thomas Abraham is a native of Kerala State in southern India. He became a Christian in 1979 and received a call by God into ministry that same year. To equip himself he entered a Bible College in Madras, India, where he studied for four years graduating with a Bachelor of Theology degree (B.Th.). Thomas then moved to the northern part of India where he studied in a Bible Seminary and graduated with a Bachelor of Divinity degree (B.D.)

Upon returning to his home in Kerala, he began teaching and working as the academic Dean of Kerala Christian Bible College of P.V. Alexander Ministries (Church of Christ affiliated). In 1989, Thomas received the opporitunity to travel to the United States to attend Nebraska Christian College in Norfolk, Nebraska. The one-year training that he received at NCC on New Testament Christianity and the Restoration Movement became a great turning point in his life and ministry.

Thomas continued teaching at Kerala Christian Bible College until God called him to start a separate Church of Christ ministry in 1995. With much prayer, he obeyed God's calling and started the new work named India Church of Christ Mission. The marvelous growth of this mission in just a few short years is living testimony of God's faithfulness.

Thomas visited the United States for four months in late 1999 and early 2000. That visit marked the formation of a network of churches and individuals now partnering with him to support the unfolding ministry of ICCM. During his visit he also established a Board of Trustees whose members provide oversight of all funds donated to ICCM from the States.

Thomas and his wife Sally have two sons, Jerry and Jeffin, eleven and four, respectively.
